INPP-76 Internship Program Plan Template — Position Description & Section G Competencies Guide preview gallery
1 / 2
The two parts of the INPP-76 that cause the most delays — done for you. Includes a fully fillable position description and a Section G competencies template with worked examples across all eight core competencies.
The INPP-76 is the first step that stands between you and starting your 5+1 internship. This template covers the two sections that cause the most queries from AHPRA reviewers — the position description and Section G. The position description template includes every field AHPRA requires: position title, reporting structure, key responsibilities across assessments, intervention, case management, and supervision, key competencies, and a supervisor sign-off block. All placeholder fields are clearly marked, so you know exactly what to replace. Section G is where most provisionals get stuck. This template gives you a structured response framework for all eight core competencies — Knowledge of the Discipline, Ethical and Legal Matters, Psychological Assessment, Intervention Strategies, Research and Evaluation, Communication, Working with Diverse Groups, and Practice Across the Lifespan — with three fillable rows per competency covering your work role activities, supervision contribution, and planned professional development. Worked examples from a paediatric psychology context are included under each field to show you the level of specificity AHPRA is looking for. Updated to reflect the December 2025 Psychology Board of Australia guidelines, including the revised supervision guideline of 1 hour per 18 hours of practice. This template is a practical guide and does not constitute official AHPRA advice. Always refer to the current Guidelines for the 5+1 Internship Program on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
